"I'm the founder of an online drawing school for kids and I would like to personally introduce the school to you.
The Drawing School is a well-rounded drawing school for children from 6 to 18 years old. It comprises nine classes, divided into the following triads: BEGINNER, JUNIOR and MASTER. The first enrolment is possible in the 1st class. Children are divided into groups according to age (6-8 years, 9-11 years and 12-18 years).
In some cases, age is not the only criteria for determining the initial triad. You can send us your child drawings, or yours if it is the school for you, and together we will decide which class to start with.
Each class lasts one school year - with two months of holidays in between (July and August). Students receive one video lesson each week (15 to 30 minutes) with full instructions and materials (PDF, JPG,...). Then, in the same week, we meet live in the online classroom to work through the lesson together and decide on a homework exercise. When the students finish the class, they receive a diploma and a certificate to enable them to enrol in the next class. One more thing - we don't require a yearly commitment, so it's possible to leave at any time during the school year without any obligation or extra cost."
Fun | Play | Inspiration
Fun
Drawing is fun. This is the basic motto that follows us throughout our years of education in the e-Drawing School. From the very beginning, we show children drawing as a fun and joyful activity.
Play
Children love to play. As a saying goes, "The greatest artist in the world is a child at play." That's why we teach drawing through a variety of creative and fun games that help children develop their imagination.
Inspiration
Every creative person needs an inspiration to create. We are well aware of this here at the Pencil Up, which is why we make sure to bring a good dose of inspiration into the learning process through various stories, illustrations and cartoons.
Through fun games, we learn the most basic elements of drawing and draw simple characters and elements.
Play is still a big part of the learning process, through which children learn about different types of drawing and artistic expression.
We learn about different media for creating drawings and different drawing equipment and materials.

Play
Children love to play. Our saying goes, "The greatest artist in the world is a child at play." That's why we teach drawing through a variety of creative and fun games that help children develop their imagination.
Practise
Every skill requires practice and repetition. Creating the habit of drawing regularly is what helps most to develop and improve drawing skills and understanding of how to communicate with the world visually.
Challenges
We all like challenges. With challenges we grow. They are the first test of our knowledge and skills. Children absolutely love them and they are an integral part of our learning process, where children put into practice everything they have learned.
We learn about different approaches to creating drawings (drawing live, drawing by observation, drawing from imagination, etc.) and expressing thoughts and feelings through drawing.
We learn to draw a wide range of subjects and motifs (things, nature, animals, plants, people, the urban world, imaginary characters and worlds, etc.).
Includes planning space, composition, perspective and other principles of design in drawing (balance, proportion, harmony, rhythm, contrast, pattern,...) and learning to draw different subjects.
Exploring | Creating | Progress
Exploring
At this stage, students are already testing their boundaries and exploring their own style of drawing and how they will implement it. They are learning about the different uses of drawing from fashion, industrial, graphic and web design to comics, animation, cartoons, children's illustration, photography, painting and other forms of artistic expression.
Creating
Through the learning process, students develop professional drawing skills, which are then crowned with their own finished artworks. These have already become part of their portfolio and can be used for their first exhibitions and public performances.
Progress
Every young person is already forming his or her own vision and view of the future that awaits him or her in the world. They learn about all kinds of professions and activities that could be their future path in life after their time in our online Drawing School.
The implementation of drawing in various forms of formats (illustration, comics, animation, caricature, portraits, design...) and further learning of different drawing subjects.
Development of one's own style, specialisation and more in-depth learning of the chosen drawing style.
Learning about all aspects of creative work and business, from portfolio development, presentation, web presence, advertising, offers and sales, productivity, etc.
(Almost) everything is done in an online classroom where everyone has access to pre-recorded lessons, content and resources. Each week, they receive a new video lesson and assignment from the teacher for that week with all the instructions and materials (PDFs, JPGs).
Students are assigned to classes where they learn the current topics for that class simultaneously. This way, students socialise and share knowledge with their classmates.
Once a week, the teacher meets the students in each class LIVE in an online classroom.
The teacher is available at all times for questions, drawing evaluations and further clarifications in the e-school's meeting room - a Discord channel where teachers and students socialise with each other. Here everyone can share their work, exchange useful tips and fun content, and much more.
We've condensed everything that happens in our online drawing school into three important days, when we're working on new content.
The week starts with a new lesson.
Every Monday by noon students will receive a new video lesson in their online classroom.
The video lesson is 15 to 30 minutes long and students can watch it at their own time, when it suits them in relation to other activities and commitments.
At the end of the lesson, the teacher usually suggests a short home exercise.

Students enjoy the live lesson with the teacher the most. This is the time when they review and study the weekly lesson together, the teacher answers questions, interacts and has fun with creative drawing games.
If you miss the live lesson - it's okay! A recording of the lesson will be waiting for you in the online classroom the next day.

All live recordings of lessons with the teacher are available in the online classroom
In our online school, you never miss a thing. The day after the live lesson, the recording will be uploaded to the online classroom by noon and also all home exercises and content (worksheets, games, exercises,...) will be visible. In case of a weekend challenge, this will be added to the online classroom. This is usually linked to current events, interesting cartoons, films and books, holidays and seasons.
